Background: In the matter of granting approval for the Battery Energy Storage Sale Agreement (BESSA), the associated Battery Energy Storage Purchase Agreement (BESPA) for procurement of 500 MW/1000 MWh BESS capacity, and for the adoption of tariff determined under section 63 of the Electricity Act, 2003 on long term basis for a period of 12 years, in accordance with the APERC Conduct of Business Regulations 1 of 1999, the AP Electricity Reforms Act, 1998 and Sections 62, 63 and 86 of the Electricity Act, 2003.
