The Transmission Corporation of Andhra Pradesh Limited (APTRANSCO) has invited bids for a 2 GWh standalone Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project, equating to 1,000 MW with 2 hours of storage. The tender, with a submission deadline of September 29, will be awarded through a tariff-based competitive bidding process supported by Viability Gap Funding (VGF) of up to ₹18 lakh per MWh.
