The Central Electricity Authority (CEA) has introduced the Technical Standards for Construction of Electrical Plants and Electric Lines (Amendment) Regulations, 2026, which will take effect from April 1, 2027. These regulations aim to establish clear technical benchmarks for renewable energy projects and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), strengthening the safety, reliability, and efficiency of India’s rapidly expanding clean energy sector.
