Background:

The Petitioners, Adani Energy Solutions Limited (hereinafter referred to as “AESL”) and KPS III HVDC Transmission Limited (SPV), has filed the present Petition under Section 63 of the Electricity Act, 2003 (hereinafter referred to as “the Act”) for the adoption of transmission charges to establish the Inter-State Transmission System for “Transmission System for Evacuation of Power from potential renewable energy zone in Khavda area of Gujarat under Phase-V (8 GW): Part C” (hereinafter referred to as “Project”) on Build, Own, Operate and Transfer Basis (hereinafter referred to as “BOOT Basis”).
