Background

The Petitioner, Tumkur-II REZ Power Transmission Limited (hereinafter referred to as “the Petitioner”), has filed the present Petition under Section 63 of the Electricity Act, 2003 (hereinafter referred to as “the Act”) seeking the adoption of transmission tariff discovered through tariff based competitive bidding process conducted for implementation of the inter-State transmission system, namely "Transmission Scheme for integration of Tumkur-II REZ in Karnataka" (hereinafter " the Transmission Project") which is being established by the Petitioner on a Build, Own, Operate and Transfer basis in accordance with the Guidelines issued by the Central Government.
