Background:
The Petitioner, WRNES Talegaon Power Transmission Limited, has filed the present Petition under Section 63 of the Electricity Act, 2003, read with Section 79(1)(c) & (d) of the Electricity Act, 2003, (in short “the Act”) seeking the adoption of transmission tariff discovered through the tariff based competitive bidding process for the purpose of selection of Bidder as the Transmission Service Provider (TSP) to establish the Transmission System for “Network Expansion scheme in western Region to cater to Pumped storage potential near Talegaon (Pune)” on a Build, Own, Operate and Transfer Basis (hereinafter referred to as “BOOT Basis”).
