CESC filed petition before WBERC, for in-principal approval for incurring the capital expenditure for Unit 3 of 3x250 MW

Background:

The present petition has been filed by CESC Limited ("Petitioner / CESC") dated 20th June, 2024 under the West Bengal Electricity Regulatory Commission (Terms and Conditions of Tariff) Regulations, 2011 , seeking in-principal approval for incurring the capital expenditure for Unit 3 of 3x250 MW Budge Budge Generating Station on account of meeting emission standards of Oxides of Nitrogen (NOx), which has been notified by the Government of India through subsequent amendments of the Environment (Protection) Rules, 1986.
