Coal India Limited (CIL), the world’s largest coal producer and a Maharatna PSU under the Ministry of Coal, has announced a major step toward clean energy by planning a 4.5 GW renewable energy portfolio. The project will include 2500–3000 MW of solar and 1500–2000 MW of wind energy, rolled out in phases.
