The oil refineries in India play a major role in order to make decision for other sections of the economy. India stood at fourth largest refining in the world and the second largest oil refiner in Asia after China. As of April 2022, India’s oil refining capacity stood at 251.2 million metric tonne per annum (MMTPA).
