The Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC) has invited bids for a 250 MW/500 MWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project at Maithon, Jharkhand, with bid submissions due by May 21, 2025, and openings on May 22. This initiative is a part of Phase I of DVC’s broader plan to deploy 500 MW/1,000 MWh BESS capacity across Jharkhand and West Bengal.
