GERC: Petition under Regulation 16 of the GERC (Terms and Conditions of Intra-State Open Access) Regulations, 2011 and Section 142 of the Electricity Act, 2003 for implementation of short-term open access in distribution system.

Ld. Adv. Ms. Mandakini Gosh, on behalf of the Petitioners submitted that the present Petition has been filed by the Petitioners under Section 142 of the Electricity Act, 2003 and the provision of the GERC (Terms and Conditions of Intra- state Open Access) Regulations, 2011 because the distribution licensees obtaining from the prospective Short Term Open Access consumers an undertaking stating that the STOA consumer has to take RTC power.
