GERC: Public Notice for Draft Amendments to Electricity Supply Code and Standards of Performance Regulations, 2026

The Commission invites objections / suggestions / comments on various Draft Amendments in the existing Regulations

The Commission has prepared the following Draft Amendments in exercise of the powers conferred under various Sections of the Electricity Act, 2003 (Act 36 of 2003) and the Gujarat Electricity Industry (Re-organisation and Regulation) Act, 2003 (Gujarat Act 24 of 2003) and all powers enabling it in that behalf, in order to align the existing Regulations with the Electricity (Rights of Consumers) Rules, 2020 notified by the Ministry of Power, Government of India, and as per the recommendations made by the Electricity Supply Code Review Panel (ESCRP), including the consequential amendments arising therefrom, as detailed in the relevant draft document.
