HPERC: Petition of HPSEBL for Approval of 8 Capital Investment Schemes in the Fifth Control Period

Petitioner: The Himachal Pradesh State Electricity Board Ltd.

Background: This Petition has been filed by Himachal Pradesh State Electricity Board Limited (HPSEBL/ Petitioner) under Section 86(1)(b) of the Electricity Act, 2003 (‘Act’) which empowers the Himachal Pradesh Electricity Regulatory Commission (Commission) to regulate the tariff of, and to determine matters relating to the working of, distribution licensees, along with Regulation 31 of the HPERC (Multi Year Regulations, 2023) framed by the Commission in exercise of power under Section 181 of the Act, seeking approval of the Commission for inclusion of the 8 Capital Investment Schemes in the approved Capital Investment Plan of the Fifth Control Period (FY 2024-25 to FY 2028-29) and grant of investment approval for their execution.
