Background:
In exercise of powers conferred under Sub-section (1)(g) of Section 86
read with Sub-section (2)(zp) of Section 181 of the Electricity Act, 2003 (No. 36 of 2003) and all
powers enabling it in that behalf and on the basis of experience of working of the JSERC (Conduct of
Business) Regulations, 2016 as well as due to the increase in cost of operation of the Commission and
considering the inflation during last 8 years, there was a need to revise the JSERC (Conduct of
Business) Regulations, 2016 Schedule-I: Fees, Fines and Charges.
