The Stakeholders have submitted multiple representations to the Commission, raising concerns about the imposition of grid support charges on captive power plants (CPPs) including Solar Rooftop Photovoltaic (SRTPV)plants by ESCOMs. They have highlighted that such charges might discourage investment in captive power generation and are inconsistent with the provisions of the Electricity Act, 2003.
