The Request for Selection (RfS) document invites bids for the development of a 150 MW / 300 MWh Standalone Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) at the 400kV Doni Substation (220kV level) of Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Limited (KPTCL), located in Gadag District, Karnataka. The project is to be implemented on a Build-Own-Operate (BOO) basis under a tariff-based global competitive bidding process, with financial support through a Viability Gap Funding (VGF) component from the state.
