Relaxation of Regulation 8A. —

(1) Notwithstanding anything contained in sub regulation (4) of Regulation 8A of the Code, the low voltage consumers may install single motors exceeding the 50 hp load limit, subject to the following conditions:-

(i) The starting current of the motor shall not exceed the limit specified in sub regulation (3) of Regulation 16;

(ii) The motor load shall not exceed 30% of the capacity of the distribution transformer providing power to the consumer.
