The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) has proposed a significant amendment to the Approved Models and Manufacturers of Solar Photovoltaic Modules (ALMM) Order, 2019 by introducing ALMM List-III for solar wafers, with implementation targeted from June 1, 2028. This move aims to strengthen India’s domestic solar manufacturing ecosystem by extending compliance requirements upstream to wafers.
