The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) has issued a Call for Proposals under the Renewable Energy Research and Technology Development (RE-RTD) Programme to accelerate the adoption of Concentrating Solar Thermal (CST) technologies for industrial process heating. The initiative aims to promote “Green Heat” by integrating solar thermal systems with Thermal Energy Storage (TES) and hybrid systems, enabling clean, reliable, sustainable, and cost-effective replacement of fossil-fuel-based industrial heating.
