The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) has issued an Office Memorandum dated July 6, 2026, clarifying the applicability of the Approved List of Models & Manufacturers (ALMM) List-II for solar PV cells to rooftop solar projects on government buildings. The clarification aims to remove uncertainty regarding compliance requirements for projects developed through competitive bidding as well as those implemented under net-metering and open access mechanisms.
