The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) has clarified that no No-Objection Certificate (NOC) is required in existing or future bids/PPAs under Firm and Dispatchable Renewable Energy (FDRE) guidelines when Energy Storage Systems (ESS) are charged using non-renewable power and the associated renewable energy (RE) project is not yet commissioned.
