The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) has introduced a comprehensive Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) to address consumer complaints against solar vendors registered under the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana (PMSG: MBY). Issued through an Office Memorandum dated June 22, 2026, the SOP aims to strengthen consumer protection, improve service quality, and ensure accountability in rooftop solar installations across India.
