MNRE Issues SOP for Updating Model No. of Solar PV Modules in Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) Registration

The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) has issued SOP dated 01.10.2026 vide File No. 313-12/5/2025-S AND QC for updating model numbers of solar PV modules in BIS registration, under the Solar Systems, Devices and Components Goods Order, 2025 (QCO) notified on 27 January 2025 which mandates conformity to Indian Standards and BIS licence with BIS as certification and enforcement authority, read with revised Series Approval Guidelines dated 19 December 2025.
