MNRE: Notification regarding Implementation of Solar Systems Devices and Components Goods Order 2025

The Central Government has extended the implementation timeline of the Solar Systems, Devices and Components Goods Order, 2025 for Solar Photovoltaic (SPV) inverters with capacities exceeding 200 kW. The 2025 Order, issued under the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) Act, 2016, replaced the earlier Solar Photovoltaics, Systems, Devices and Components Goods (Requirements for Compulsory Registration) Order, 2017 and introduced mandatory quality and compliance requirements for five categories of solar products.
