The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) has tightened procedural compliance for wind power developers seeking Ministry of Defence (MoD) No Objection Certificates (NOCs).
In an Office Memorandum, its Wind Energy Division said it observed that applications for projects requiring MoD NOCs were often incomplete, lacking requisite maps, data and supporting documents in the prescribed manner, causing delays.
