Viability Gap Funding (VGF) Scheme for development of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) supported through Power System Development Fund (PSDF).
The second tranche of India's Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) program targets 30 GWh capacity, with INR 5,400 Cr. support via PSDF. Fifteen states will develop 25 GWh, and NTPC will add 5 GWh to optimize thermal and grid infrastructure.
