Background: M.P. Power Management Co. Ltd. has filed the subject petition for adoption of tariff determined through transparent process of bidding for long term procurement of 3200 MW power from new coal based thermal power station to be set-up in Madhya Pradesh on Design, Build, Finance, Own and Operate (DBFOO) basis in accordance with the guidelines issued by Ministry of Power (MoP), Government of India (GOI) on 6th March, 2019 under section 63 of the Electricity Act, 2003, using fuel allocated by Coal India Limited (CIL) as per aforesaid guidelines.
