Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID) has invited bids for a large-scale battery storage project in Punjab aimed at strengthening the power grid and supporting the growing share of renewable energy. The project, titled “Punjab-BESS-01-Patiala,” involves the development of a 500 MW / 1000 MWh standalone Battery Energy Storage System (BESS).
