Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) has launched a major initiative to strengthen the state’s power grid by inviting bids for a 500 MW/1000 MWh standalone Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project. The project, managed by the Office of Chief Engineer/NRSE & Thermal Designs in Patiala, aims to improve grid stability, manage peak power demand, and facilitate integration of renewable energy through advanced storage technology.
