RERC: In matter of Policy Directive by Rajasthan Govt under Section 108 of EA,2003 for charging of augmented transformer

Background: In the matter of Policy Directive issued by Government of Rajasthan under Section 108 of the Electricity Act, 2003 regarding charging (energization) of augmented transformer at 6 Nos PPP mode 132 kV GSSs namely Bengatikalan, Shekhsar, Sorda, Baytu, Ramji Ki Gol, Khatoti.

Commission's View:

Commission observes that as per the Electricity Act, 2003 and Hon’ble Supreme court Judgment, it is the responsibility of State Transmission Utility(STU) to plan, operate, and maintain the transmission system.
