Background: Petition filed under 86 (1) and 181 of the Electricity Act, 2003 read with Regulation 19, 20 and 21 of Rajasthan Electricity Regulatory Commission (Battery Energy Storage Systems) Regulations, 2026 thereof to review certain deviations that have become necessary in the bidding documents and provide in-principle approval for the procurement of pilot based small scale standalone decentralized battery energy storage systems (BESS) projects through tariff-based competitive bidding on 'Build-Own-Operate' model under Rajasthan Discoms.
