The Rajasthan government has issued a major tender for a large-scale solar-plus-energy storage project at the proposed Pugal Solar Park in Bikaner district, positioning the site as a future renewable energy hub similar to Gujarat’s Khavda project. The tender, floated through Rajasthan Renewable Energy Corporation Ltd (RRECL), seeks to develop a total of 2,450 MW of solar power capacity integrated with 1,600 MW/6,400 MWh of Energy Storage Systems (ESS).
