On January 24, 2025, the Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited (SECI) released a Request for Selection (RfS) for the development of 1,750 kW of grid-connected rooftop solar PV projects under the RESCO (Renewable Energy Service Company) model. The projects, part of a tariff-based competitive bidding process, will be installed at five locations across India: 800 kW at NIT Meghalaya, 150 kW at NITTTR Chandigarh, 450 kW at IIT Bhilai, 250 kW at NEHHDC Guwahati, and 100 kW at ICSSR New Delhi.
