The Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) has issued a tender to procure 1,000 MW of excess renewable energy from existing renewable power projects that already have power purchase agreements (PPAs). Issued under the SECI-FDRE-VIII scheme, the tender enables developers to sell surplus power generated during solar hours at a fixed tariff for a medium-term duration of 12 years.
