SJVN has launched a tender for developers to supply 2,000 MW of pumped storage capacity under a Build Own Operate (BOO) model in India. The tender specifies an 8-hour discharge with a maximum of 5 hours of continuous discharge, and bids are open until January 27, 2026. Developers are responsible for site selection, all studies, approvals of Pre-Feasibility and Detailed Project Reports, grid connectivity, power evacuation, and basic design drawings with a 40-year lifespan.
