SJVN Limited, a joint venture of the Government of India and Government of Himachal Pradesh and a Navratna CPSE under the Ministry of Power, has been designated as the Renewable Energy Implementing Agency (REIA) for wind power projects by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE). Under the guidelines issued by the Ministry of Power on 26 July 2023, SJVN invites bids through a Tariff-Based Competitive Bidding process for selection of Wind Power Developers (WPDs) to supply 600 MW of power from ISTS-connected wind power projects on a Build-Own-Operate (BOO) basis.
