Tamil Nadu Green Energy Corporation Limited (TNGECL) has issued a tender to develop 375 MW/1,500 MWh of standalone battery energy storage systems (BESS) across Tamil Nadu under the build, own, operate (BOO) model. The initiative aims to strengthen grid reliability and flexibility by enabling large-scale, on-demand energy storage.
