Uttarakhand Power Corporation Limited [UPCL], the state power distribution company, has floated three separate tenders for standalone Grid-Interactive Battery Energy Storage Systems [BESS] with a cumulative capacity of 100 MW / 250 MWh. The bids for all three tenders are due on September 15, 2026, with techno-commercial bids to be opened on September 16, 2026.
