HEL owns and operates a 2×300 MW coal fired Thermal Power Station located at Baneswar Chak, Haldia, East Midnapore. The dates of commercial operation of the two units of the generating station are 28.01.2015 and 21.02.2015.
It has been stated by Hel that the fuel costs in the instant application for Tariff for financial year 2020 - 2021, 2021 -2022 and 2022 - 2023 under the seventh control period has been submitted in terms of the West Bengal Electricity Regulatory Commission (Terms and Conditions of Tariff) (Third Amendment ) Regulation 2020 dated 21.
