WBERC: Petition of DVC for approval of PPA with JPCL for purchase of hydro power from Rangit-IV HEP 120MW (3*40MW)

Background: The Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC) submitted an application on 28.08.2025 for approval of Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) dated 31.03.2025 executed by and between DVC and Jal Power Corporation Limited (JPCL) (wholly owned subsidiary unit of NHPC Limited) for procurement of power as per allocation by Ministry of Power, Government of India, ((In short "MoP, GOI"), limited to 100 MW by DVC from Rangit-IV HE project, capacity 120 MW (3 X 40 MW) for a period of 40 years from the date of commercial operation of the last unit or balance normative life of JPCL Station(s), whichever is earlier, in terms of regulation 7.
