The West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (WBSEDCL) has presented a request seeking approval for the implementation of a prepaid smart meter rollout plan at consumer premises, encompassing government establishments under WBSEDCL's jurisdiction, in accordance with the Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme (RDS) of the Government of India's smart metering initiative.
