BERC: Petition of NBPDCL & SBPDCL for change in Arrear Recovery Mechanism for smart prepaid consumers

Background: The Petitioners, NBPDCL and SBPDCL, have filed the present petition under Sections 86(1)(k) 94(1)(f) and 181(2)(zf) of the Electricity Act, 2003, read with Regulations 36, 37, 38 and 39 of the BERC (Conduct of Business) Regulations, 2005, seeking approval of a revised mechanism for recovery of outstanding electricity dues from consumers having Smart Prepaid Meters.
