Background:
The Petitioner, NERES XVI Power Transmission Limited (hereinafter referred
to as ‘NERES/Petitioner’), has filed the present Petition under Section 63 of the
Electricity Act, 2003 (hereinafter referred to as “the Act”) for the adoption of
transmission charges in respect of the “Transmission Scheme for North-Eastern
Region Expansion Scheme-XVI (NERES-XVI)” on a Build, Own, Operate and Transfer
(BOOT) basis.
