Background

The Petitioner, Power Department, Government of Sikkim, has filed the present Petition with the following prayers:

“(a) Relax the Regulation 17.1(iii) of the Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (Connectivity and General Network Access to the inter-State Transmission System) Regulations, 2022 exercising the power under Regulation 41 of the Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (Connectivity and General Network Access to the inter-State Transmission System) Regulations, 2022 and allow connectivity from PGCIL, Sarnardong Pooling Station for power supply to the Rangpo railway yard for the upcoming SivokRangpo New Broad Gauge Railway project; and

(b) Pass any appropriate order/orders as this Hon'ble Commission may deem fit in the circumstances.
