CERC: Petition for In-Principle Approval of Change in Law Impact on Lignite Pricing for Thermal Stations

Petition under Sections 62 and 79(1)(a) of the Electricity Act, 2003 read with Regulation 50 of the Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (Terms and Conditions of Tariff) Regulations, 2024 for in-principle approval of treating the expenditure incurred on account of imposition of “Tamil Nadu Mineral Bearing Land Tax Act, 2024” as a change in law and computing its impact on the Input Price of Lignite of Neyveli Mines as a component of Statutory charges and recovery thereof through Landed Price of Lignite for Linked Thermal Stations.
