Background:
The Petitioner, WRSS XXI (A) Transco Limited (hereinafter referred to as ‘the Petitioner’), has filed the present Petition under Section 14 of the Electricity Act, 2003 (hereinafter referred to as ‘the Act’) read with the provisions of the Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (Terms and Conditions for grant of Transmission Licence and other related matters) Regulations, 2009 (hereinafter referred to as ‘the Transmission Licence Regulations’) for the grant of a separate transmission licence for the implementation of the “Augmentation of transformation capacity at 765/400 kV Lakadia S/s (WRSS XXI(A) Transco Ltd) in Gujarat – Part A” on the Regulated Tariff Mechanism (RTM) mode (hereinafter referred to as the ‘transmission scheme’).
