Background:  This Petition has been filed by the Himachal Pradesh State Electricity Board Limited, a Distribution Licensee (hereinafter referred as “the HPSEBL”), an Obligated Entity under the Himachal Pradesh Electricity Regulatory Commission (Renewable Power Purchase Obligation and its Compliance) Regulations, 2023 (hereinafter referred as “the RPO Regulations, 2023”) seeking authentication of Renewal Energy Purchase for FY 2024-25 in respect of Wind Power Purchase Obligation (Wind RPO for short), Hydro Purchase Obligation (HPO for short), Other Renewable Purchase Obligations (Other RPO for short) and Energy Storages Obligation (ESO).
