Background: This Joint Petition has been filed by the Himachal Pradesh State Electricity Board Ltd. (the Joint Petitioner No.1 or the HPSEBL) and Katna Urja Plant (the Joint Petitioner No. 2) for the approval of the Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) under Section 86 (1) (b) of the Electricity Act, 2003 (Act) read with Regulations 56 and 57 of the HPERC (Conduct of Business) Regulations, 2024, (CBR, 2024) in respect of Katna Urja Plant (250 kW).
