Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited (TPREL) had filed Petition on 6 November 2023 under Section 86(1) (b), (e) and (f) of the Electricity Act (EA), 2003 read with Article 9 of the Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) dated 4 July 2023 seeking in-principle approval of the Commission for the Notifications issued under Project Imports (Amendment) Regulations, 2022 dated 19 October 2022 and the Project Imports (Amendment) Regulations, 2023 dated 1 February 2023 (collectively referred as PIR Notifications) issued by the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) and published by the Ministry of Finance, Government of India (MoF, GoI), as a Change in Law event.
