The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) has extended the timeline for the Development of Solar Parks and Ultra Mega Solar Power Projects scheme by three years, now running until March 31, 2029. However, no new approvals for solar park capacity will be granted after March 31, 2026. This extension is aimed at ensuring the completion of ongoing solar parks and settling committed financial liabilities, with no additional financial burden to the government.
